FREE – GRATIS – FREE TAX PREPARATION DAY DIA DE IMPUESTOS The Mainstream Connection invites YOU to a Tax Preparation Workshop – FREE. IRS agents will be on-hand to assist attendees in completing their Income Tax Return for 2005 on February 19, 2006, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at W. 17th Street, Houston, TX 77008. If you have the 1040 EZ form or the 1040 itemized form, we can help you. If you are requesting assistance with the long form, please have all of your receipts categorized. If you have personal tax questions, you may call for an individual appointment with an IRS agent, our phone number is 713-291-2202.  Appointments start at 2:15 p.m. There will also be assistance for anyone wanting to complete the "ITIN" application. Please bring the following documents:

• 2 forms of government Identification
• Social Security cards for dependents
• School issued identification

Coming in February / En Febrero The following programs will begin February 2006:

ESL-English as a Second Language – (Intensive Conversational English)- Registration begins February 19, 2006 – 9:00 a.m.  $15.00 for the course.  Classes will be on Tuesday & Thursdays, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sundays at 9:00 a.m. The course will end in May 2006.

Arts & Craft Class – Begins February 21, 2006 – 10:00 a.m. – $5.00/material – We will have registration for this class and begin a craft the same morning. So bring your smile and come join us!  

We bring people together in a relaxed setting, where new acquaintances are made, relationships are created and we encourage each other through listening and sharing personal experiences.  

Our crafts will be displayed in our forthcoming events.
